Shannon Fleener

Director term: September 2017 – September 2021, President
Shannon moved to Golden Hill in February 2016 and quickly fell in love with the neighborhood. As a Housing Specialist at the San Diego Housing Commission, Shannon provides homeless prevention services to individuals and families at risk of becoming homeless. Shannon’s background in education and social justice has made her a passionate supporter of community-based work and grassroots movements; she is very excited to serve Golden Hill and work towards a better community for all.

Pamela Gade

Director Term: January 2019 – September 2021, Community Liaison
Pam has resided in Golden Hill since of 2003. She is a native San Diegan and a community enthusiast. Many neighbors know her as the friendly plant lady on 24th Street where she shares a wonderful Victorian home with her two loyal dogs. Her background includes the proprietorship of Plant Art San Diego specializing in creating one of a kind living art pieces. Pam has a great pulse on the neighborhood due to the many encounters she has with residents, both two and four legged! Her volunteer experience includes participation with Jackson House Recovery Home and House of Denmark in Balboa Park.

Ryan Glidden

Director term: November 2019 – September 2022
Ryan is the co-founder of RESILIENCE in the You Are Here building in Golden Hill.  Ryan has operated businesses in Golden Hill since since 2010 and couldn’t believe he found such a great neighborhood after living in San Diego for six years.  A former NCAA collegiate athlete, Ryan has studied at the National Academy of Sports Medicine, the CHEK Institute for advanced performance, the Metabolic Typing Education Center, and Symmetry’s school for alignment therapy.  Ryan is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) through Yoga Alliance and a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Ryan is the director of MOSAIC’s yoga teacher training program. Ryan is a regular contributor to Yoga Digest Magazine and the author of both  and Good Being, Good Living: A Modern Model for Sustained Holistic Health.

Sebastian Sarria

Director term: September 2018 – September 2021, Secretary

From it’s fantastic views to unique community character, he truly believes Golden Hill is the best neighborhood in San Diego. A native of Colombia, Sebastian currently works for the City of San Diego’s Sustainability Department where he provides staff support to San Diego Community Power. He’s committed to reducing the impacts of climate change by being a voice for change in the region. Sebastian hopes to bring this perspective to the neighborhood and champion for green-friendly projects that will improve the place we live in. He holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s of Public Policy in Energy and Environment from the School of Global Policy and Strategy at the University of California San Diego.

Karen Solorzano

Director Term: November 2018 – September 2021, Events & Engagement Committee Chai
Karen moved to Golden Hill in 2014 from the South Bay. She is a community enthusiast and looks forward to engaging neighbors with fairs, block parties, pop-ups, and mixers. Karen has represented buyers and sellers across the county as a real estate agent and love’s turning clients on to the great lifestyle of Golden Hill. Karen is an advocate for military personnel and volunteers frequently for Father Joes, Urban Path and YMCA Armed Services.
